Broner-Escobedo Fight Week kicks off

Cincinnati-area fight fans are invited at attend a media workout featuring unbeaten WBO junior lightweight world champion Adrien “The Problem” Broner and his challenger Vicente “Chente” Escobedo on Tuesday at the Mount Auburn Rec Center (270 Southern Ave). Broner will work out at 2PM and Escobedo will be there at 3PM. Also, six local area undercard fighters, Chris Pearson, Brandon Bennett, David Long, William Jackson, De’Vonte Allen and Mel Crossty will workout at 3:30PM. All fighter workouts are open to the public.

Broner (23-0, 19 KOs) and Escobedo (26-3, 15 KOs) collide Saturday in a twelve-rounder for Broner’s WBO belt at U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio. In the co-feature, unbeaten welterweight Keith Thurman (17-0, 16 KOs) faces his toughest test in Orlando Lora (29-2-2, 19 KOs). Both bouts will be televised by HBO.
