Undefeated WBO Junior Lightweight World Champion Adrien “The Problem” Broner and NABO Junior Lightweight Champion Vicente “Chente” Escobedo pose in Cincinnati, Ohio at the press conference to officially announce their July 21, 2012 world title fight at U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati which will be broadcast live on HBO Boxing After Dark.
Adrien Broner: “July 21 is just another day in the ring for me. I’ll come in laughing and dancing. I like to have fun with it. He’s coming to my hometown and I’m excited. I don’t know him and I don’t want to know him. I’m in the hurt business and I’m gonna handle Escobedo. I’ve been in shape since 1989. When I was born and the doctor smacked me, I smacked him back.
Vicente Escobedo: “I’m going to take full advantage of this opportunity. I’m hungry and I’ve been hungry. People say that he [Broner] has talent, power and speed. I’ve got talent. I’ve got speed and I’ve got power too. I’m gonna shock the world. I guarantee it.”
