WBC lightweight world champion Adrien “The Problem” Broner was asked today during an international teleconference about his preparations for former world champion Gavin Rees on February 16 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. “I don’t need to get acquainted with nothin’ Gavin Rees brings,” said Broner, “because whatever he brings I’m going to be ready for. Like I said before, I don’t watch tape on fighters, I don’t study their best moves, I don’t study their best punch, because at the end of the day if you’ve got your best move or your best punch, all of it means nothing if you can’t land a shot. My main focus is staying sharp, staying focused and being physically prepared for this fight…and I will be!”
