WBO junior lightweight champion Adrien Broner said Wednesday that he’s planning to move up in weight after Saturday’s showdown with #1 challenger Vicente Escobedo at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio. “This will be my last fight at 130lbs and I’m going to go out with a bang,” said Broner. “I’m young, I’m 22, I’m still growing. It’s time for me to go up. After this fight there wouldn’t be a reason for me to stay. I’m just gonna go up and give the lightweights hell.”
