Browne makes Walker quit after seven

Heavyweight Lucas “Big Daddy” Browne (17-0, 15 KOs) scored an eighth round TKO over late sub Travis Walker (39-11-1, 31 KOs) on Thursday night at the Melbourne Pavilion in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Walker dropped Browne in round one with a grazing right hand, but Browne returned the favor by floorng Walker in rounds three, five and six. Walker tried one last assault in round seven, then stayed on his stool at the start of round eight.

Five-fight novice Jake Carr (5-0, 2 KOs) claimed the vacant Australian super middleweight title with a close ten round unanimous decision over reigning champion Serge Yannick (15-4, 7 KOs). Scores were 97-94, 96-95, 96-94.

Unbeaten light heavyweight Blake Caparello (17-0-1, 6 KOs) won a tactical twelve round majority decision over Daniel MacKinnon (21-7-1, 9 KOs) in a bout for the PABA light heavyweight title. Scores were 114-114, 118-111, 116-112.
