Brunker stops Emery

Australian featherweight champion Joel Brunker (13-0, 7 KOs) scored a fifth round stoppage over Many Emery (3-3-1) of New Zealand at the Richmond Club in Richmond, NSW, Australia on Friday. Emery boxed a draw in six rounds with Leigh Lindgren in Australia in 2009. Brunker is managed by Angelo DiCarlo and is scheduled to defend the national title on April 16th against Dianever Orcales in Brisbane. On the undercard welterweight Mark Sarracino (1-0-1) boxed a tech draw with Ryan Stinson (1-3-1) when Sarracino suffered a cut in round two due to an accidental head clash.
