In a non-televised bout on Friday night at the First Council Casino in Newkirk, Oklahoma, unbeaten middleweight Tyrone Brunson (20-0-1, 19 KOs) for the first time as a professional won a fight by eight round decision, defeating tough Venezuelan veteran Marcos Primera (20-20-2, 13 KOs). Brunson’s previous 19 victories were all by knockout. The scores were 76-72 76-74 and 78-75 all in favor of Brunson.
