Burgos blasts out Vazquez in three

WBO #2/WBC#3/WBA#4/IBF #4 jr lightweight contender Juan Carlos “Mini” Burgos (30-1, 20 KOs) scored a nice third round TKO over previously undefeated Cesar “Saba” Vazquez (25-1, 16 KOs) on Friday night at the Edgewater Casino in Laughlin, Nevada. A barrage of punches left Vazquez reeling and referee Tony Weeks stepped in to wave it off at the 1:15 mark

Welterweight Aron “The Killer” Martinez (18-1-1, 4 KOs) won an eight round split decision over Prenice “The Greatness” Brewer (16-3-1, 6 KOs). Scores were 77-75, 77-75 Martinez, 77-75 Brewer. Ten straight wins for Martinez, two straight losses for Brewer.

Debuting featherweight Vitor Freitas-Jones, nephew of former world champion Acelino “Popo” Freitas, scored a first round KO over Rocco Espinoza (3-6, 0 KOs). Time was 2:11.

In his pro debut, heavyweight Brett Rather outpointed Jamal Woods (2-4-1) over four by scores of 39-37, 40-36, 40-36
