IBF super middleweight champion Lucian Bute and Librado Andrade hit the ground running in advance of their rematch set for November 28th in Quebec City and broadcast on HBO. The boxers hit six cities across the province in a whistle-stop tour lasting two days and were in good spirits as they landed just outside of Montreal for the final stop. “I’ll be ready,” proclaimed Bute, “I made some mistakes last October, it’s going to be different this time. “Bute will be leaving Montreal and going away to training camp for the first time while Mexican-American Andrade will be once again setting up shop in the city under the tutelage of trainer Howard Grant. “I ran out of time the last time,” Andrade told Fightnews, “But I did what I had to do. Make no mistake, I got to him. It is the beginning of a rip, and we’re going in there to tear it apart.”

For 18 years, Fightnews.com® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
