After his disastrous attempt to move to light heavyweight, 38-year-old, two-time heavyweight champion Chris Byrd (40-5-1, 21 KOs) will resurface today as a cruiserweight on the undercard of the Klitschko-Gomez heavyweight title fight in Stuttgart, Germany. After losing thee out of four by KO, Byrd shouldn’t have any problems tonight as he faces seven-fight novice Matthias Sandow (4-3) in an eight round bout. Also seeing action is recent heavyweight title challenger Tony “The Tiger” Thompson (31-2, 19 KOs), who faces veteran Adnan Serin (19-9-1, 7 KOs).
