“I made many mistakes in the other fight when I wanted to impress my fans and those watching TV, but this time I’m going to do my job, my boxing style is to hit and not get hit,” said Calderon.
Mayol, who is promoted by pound-for-pound king Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, was just as confident he will win this time around as he was accompanied by his manager Michael Koncz.
“I am training very hard for this fight because I want the title and I know that I will win the title on September 12,” said Mayol
The event which is titled “Undefeated Champions” will also feature unbeaten WBO super featherweight champion Ramon “Rocky” Martinez (22-0-1, 13 KOs) making the first defense of his title against former world title challenger Michael Lozado (31-5-1, 24 KOs). Fireworks can be expected in this bout as this is a legendary Puerto Rico vs Mexico boxing rivalry, and neither fighter will step back. Several other entertaining bouts are scheduled including cruiserweight giant, 6’6 unbeaten Carlos Negron against an opponent soon to be announced. None of Negron´s opponents have made it out of the 1st round yet.
“Undefeated Champions” will be distributed in the United States by Integrated Sports for live viewing Saturday September 12th at 9 PM/ET – 6 PM/PT on cable and satellite pay-per-view via IN Demand and DirecTV for a suggested retail price of $29.95.
