Former world rated heavyweight Shane “Mountain Warrior” Cameron (24-2, 20 KOs) will be in action against Australian cruiserweight champion Daniel “The Doberman” Ammann (19-3-1, 4 KOs) over ten rounds at the Sydney Entertainment Center, NSW Australia on July 21st. Cameron is expected to weigh much less than his usual 230 pounds as he attempts to eventually make the cruiserweight limit in an effort to make a challenge to IBO cruiserweight champion Danny Green who will be headlining the show when he battles Paul Briggs over twelve.
Cameron is coming off a second round disqualification win over former Australian heavyweight champion John Hopoate in 2010. Cameron holds KO wins over American heavyweights Kevin Montiy and Robert Davis and also outscored Terry Smith in 2008 in one of the best heavyweight battles ever seen in New Zealand. Heavyweight boxing’s heaviest hitter David Tua scored a crushing second round KO over Cameron in 2009.
Daniel Ammann outscored Walter Pupu’a over ten in 2010 but was stopped at 2:18 of round two against Russian born German based WBO#2, IBF#11, WBC#7, WBA#3 Alexander Alexeev in 2009.
