Campillo victorious in tuneup, Fonfara is next

Former WBA light heavyweight champion Gabriel “EL Chico Guapo” Campillo (21-5-1, 8 KOs) was victorious on Friday night, scoring a second round stoppage of Ionut Trandafir Ilie (14-16-1, 2 KOs) in Sedavi, Spain. Campillo will now prepare for his August 16 title challenge against “The Polish Prince”, IBO light heavyweight world champion Andrzej Fonfara in the main event at U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago.
