Just announced by Golden Boy execs Oscar de la Hoya and Richard Schaefer: “Knockout Kings” on September 15 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Four fights: WBC super welterweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez vs Victor Ortiz and WBC featherweight champion Johnny Gonzalez vs. Daniel Ponce de Leon, plus two other fights to be announced.
Oscar promises “no judges needed.” Ortiz vs. Josesito Lopez will go on as scheduled June 23.
