A source has confirmed to Fightnews.com that there is a strong possibility that the world championship light flyweight clash between the Filipino world champion John Riel Casimero (17-2, 10 KOs) and the Panamanian challenger Luis “Pan Blanco” Rios will end up going to a purse bid on January 2. Rios (18-1-1, 13 KOs) won the right to fight for the title by knocking out Felipe Salguero in an elimination bout held on October 25 at the Arena Roberto Duran in Panama City.
