“I’m in great shape for this fight, we’ve been in training camp for several weeks now, we’re getting great sparring and we’re right on target. I plan on taking full advantage of this opportunity that we’ve worked so hard for and we’ll be 100% ready for April 29,” said Victor Cayo.

Victor Cayo currently trains along side WBC Silver super middleweight champion Noe ‘El Carbonero’ Gonzalez (26-1, 18 KOs) of Uruguay, hard hitting WBC Youth featherweight champion Javier ‘El Abejon’ Fortuna (14-0, 11 KOs) of the Dominican Republic, as well as middleweight champion Sergio ‘Maravilla’ Martinez (47-2-2, 26 KOs) of Oxnard, CA, by way of Argentina.

In his last outing, Victor Cayo defeated Javier ‘Pelon’ Gomez (10-6, 7KOs) of Mexico on October 29th at the Gimnasio Municipal in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico via first round knockout. Cayo is on a two bout win streak, both of them by knockout, since suffering his only loss last year to hard hitting junior welterweight Marcos ‘El Chino’ Maidana (29-2, 27 KOs) of Argentina.

Also, in action that night will be lightweight Hylon Williams Jr. (13-0, 3 KOs) of Las Vegas, Nevada as well as junior lightweight Rances Barthelemy (11-0, 9 KOs) of Cuba, in separate bouts.
