Unbeaten bantamweight Nehomar Cermeño (17-0, 10 KOs) won a twelve round split decision over former world champion Cristian Mijares (36-5-2, 15 KOs) to claim the WBA interim 118lb title on Saturday night at the Centennial Coliseum in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico. Scores were 116-112, 115-113 for Cermeño, 117-111 for Mijares.
