With quick jabs, plenty of angles, a higher work rate and far more accurate punching, IBF #3 heavyweight contender “Fast” Eddie Chambers (34-1, 18 KOs), outworked, outhustled and even at times outmuscled former WBC champion, and current WBC/IBF #5 heavyweight Sam “The Nigerian Nightmare” Peter (30-3, 24 KOs) to capture a ten round majority decision. The Nokia Theater in Downtown Los Angeles was the setting for this main event crossroads showdown between these two young fighters. Coming into the fight, the 26 year old Chambers was riding a three fight win streak against solid competition while the 28 year old Peter entered the fight fresh from a one sided loss to Vitali Klitschko and along with it, the WBC heavyweight title in the process.
