Heavyweight contender Manuel Charr suffered a meniscus tear in his knee while training for his Fenruary 22 fight in Galati, Romania against Yakup Saglam. The “Diamond Boy” fought anyway – and won. However today he undergoes the necessary operation in Cologne to correct the problem. Charr is optimistic that he can begin training again in three to four weeks, but of course needs to see what the doctors have to say after the operation.
