Last night WBA Super World Featherweight Champion Chris “The Dragon” John (48-0-3, 22 KO’s) and IBO World Lightweight Champion “Indonesian Thunder” Daud Cino Yordan (31-3, 23 KO’s) met with Indonesian vice president Boediono and a select few select Indonesian dignitaries, they shared dinner together at the Indonesian Consulate in Perth, Western Australia.

“It was a big honor to meet Inondesia’s Vice President, he is very good man and he represents my people well” John said
Yordan also greatly enjoyed the special occasion
“Mr Boediono said he will be watching us fight on December 6th from Indonesia with the rest of the country and he says for me & Chris to make the country proud” Yordan said.
Currently, both Chris John and Daud Yordan are training at Harry’s Gym in Balcatta.
On Friday December 6, John will take on the IBO World Featherweight Champion Simpiwe “V12” Vetyeka (25-2, 15 KO’s) in a battle of Featherweight Champions in the Main Event of the next Dragon Fire: World Championship Boxing event at Metro City in Perth.
The Dragon will be looking to extend his reign having been WBA World Featherweight champion for over ten years.
If successful, John will create history and match Eusebio Pedroza’s long standing division record of nineteen WBA World Featherweight title defences.
For his part, Yordan who won the IBO Lightweight title in July and became the first Indonesian two weight division champion at Featherweight & Lightweight respectively will meet another South African in Sipho Taliwe (21-3, 14 KOs) as the Co-Main Event.
The event will be broadcast live in Indonesia on RCTI beginning at 9pm (Jakarta time)
