Current undefeated WBA World Featherweight Champion Chris “The Dragon” John (46-0-2, 22 KOs) and Mohammad Nor Rizan (5-1, 4 KO’s) from Singapore recently had an open sparring session at the Fightworks Gym in Singapore. It was a very special opportunity for the media as it is rare to get to see a sparring session so close to the fight. John, the “WBA Fighter of Decade” will make the 16th defence of his title at The Marina Bay Sands Resort in Singapore against Japan’s Shoji Kimura (24-4-2, 9 KOs) on Saturday. Making the 16th defense of his title, John says he is staying focussed as is targeting a KO victory against Kimura.
Mohammad Nor Rizan will face Wang Xin Hua (4-3-1) on the undercard of the World Tilte Fight at MBS.
“The Dragon” didn’t hold back and put Nor Rizan through a tough sparring session. “Mohammad can be dangerous and his opponent Wang will have a tough challenge in facing him front of his home crowd at the Marina Bay Sands on May 5.” John said.
Mohammad Nor Rizan has just returned home to Singapore after a solid training camp in Melbourne Australia.
