Former welterweight world champion Kermit “Killer” Cintron (31-2-1,27 KOs) will be fighting for the first time in his career in Puerto Rico on October 24th at the Coliseo Roberto Clemente in San Juan. Cintron was born in Carolina, Puerto Rico where he lived until he was a teenager at which point he moved to Pennsylvania. Cintron’s bout will be a junior middleweight twelve rounder. An opponent will soon be announced. Cintron is ranked #1 in the world by both the WBO/WBC and 5th by the IBF.
Also on the card will be former welterweight champion Carlos “El Indio” Quintana (26-2,20 KOs) featured in a ten round junior middleweight clash, also with an opponent to be announced.
PR Best Boxing Promotions (Ivan & Peter Rivera) and DiBella Entertainment will promote.
“It’s going to be big fight night with the power punching Cintron headlining the event as well as having former champion Quintana fighting on the card,” stated PR Best Boxing Promotions President Ivan Rivera. “This will be our first time working with DiBella Entertainment and we look forward to doing many more events with them.”
