Clark outclasses Camechis

Welterweight Michael “Cold Blood” Clark (41-5-1) continued his winning streak last night by garnishing the Ohio State welterweight title over a game, but outclassed, Brian Camechis (19-4) at the Columbus Convention Center. With superior speed and skills, Clark used effective counter punching to earn the majority decision. Scores were 77-75 twice and 76-76. Clark’s longtime manager Pat Nelson states, “Michael now has a career mark of (6-1) as a welterweight with his lone defeat by majority decision against eventual IBF junior middle champ, Cornelius Bundrage. We are now looking for a major fight in either the welter or junior welter divisions,” Nelson added.

    Help Support®

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
