Cleverly must face Krasniqi

A purse bid will be held today in Budapest, Hungry for the mandatory defense of WBO light heavyweight Nathan Cleverly against Robin Krasniqi. Minimum bid is $300,000. The Cleverly camp had been hoping to line up a better known opponent, but that idea was scotched by WBO President Francisco Valcarcel who tweeted “We want to make clear that Cleverly must face Krasniqi or he will be stripped from the title. That mandatory was stated by the WBO Executive Committee on the last WBO Convention.”
