Trainer Rigoberto Garibaldi said at this morning to Panamanian Press that Rafael Concepcion weighed 119 pounds at mid-morning Friday with five hours to go before the official weigh-in for his Saturday title fight against Nonito Donaire Jr. The weight limit for the WBA interim super-flyweight title fight in Las Vegas is 115 pounds and the official weigh-in is set for 2 p.m. Even if Concepcion doesn’t make weight, it’s likely the fight will still take place, but only Donaire would be able to claim the vacant belt with a win. Concepcion (13-3-1, 8 KOs) and Donaire (21-1, 14 KOs) meet in the “Pinoy Power II” PPV main event Saturday at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
