‘Confesor’ set to defend WBC title May 11

Mexican WBC light flyweight world champion Adrian “Confesor” Hernandez (26-2-1, 16 KOs) is in the final stage of training for his second title defense against Nicaraguan challenger Yader Cardoza (15-4, 5 KOs) on May 11 in Toluca, Mexico State. “My last fight was a complicated fight, which was a great learning experience. Now in this fight I’ll be extra motivated to be back with my hometown fans. we’ve made an excellent strategic and physical preparation for this fight so we’ll come out with the win. This fight is not only mine, it’s for my family, for Toluca and for Mexico,” stated Hernandez, who is training at the Romanza Gym with Hall of Fame trainer Nacho Beristain. The event is presented by Promociones del Pueblo and televised in Mexico on Televisa.
