The team of Panamanian WBA bantamweight super champion Anselmo “Chemito” Moreno has confirmed that a fight against two-division world champion Abner Mares is on for October 13 in a place to be determined. Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York and Texas are in the running to host the fight, which will be presented by Golden Boy Promotions and televised by Showtime. Sources say organizers would like to make the Mares-Moreno fight in the super bantamweight division and Moreno will seek special permission from the WBA.
