Confirmed: Rodriguez-Takayama for IBF title

Mexican IBF minimumweight world champion Mario “Dragon” Rodriguez (15-6-4, 11 KOs) will make his first defense against Japanese former world champion Katsunari Takayama (24-6, 10 KOs) on March 30 at the Baseball Stadium in Guasave, Sinaloa, Mexico. That same night, former world champion Raul “Rayito” Garcia (33-2-1, 21 KOs) and Pedro “Pedrín” Guevara (18-1-1, 13 KOs) will meet for the WBC silver light flyweight title. The event will be presented by Promociones del Pueblo, Erik Morales’ Box Latino and Branco Sports. Televisa will broadcast in Mexico
