Contreras impressive in debut

Sensational Dominican prospect Francisco Contreras made his US debut a memorable one Thursday night as he brutally knocked out Gustavo Mejia in the first round of their welterweight bout at the TKO Boxing Promotions/Ballroom Boxing event at Michael’s Eighth Avenue in Glen Burnie, MD. Dropping Mejia twice with an array of power shots to the head and body, the bout was stopped at the 1:52 mark when Mejia went down for the second time.
