Miguel Cotto and Michael Jennings have arrived into New York City to get set for their showdown at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night.. Both will be at a Top Rank media workout on Tuesday at the Bronxchester Boxing Club, 225 Randall Ave., the Bronx, on Tuesday. Jennings will be there at 11:30 am, Cotto at 1 pm local time. Top Rank today moved the Matt Korobov vs. Cory Jones middleweight fight onto the live PPV telecast. Anthony Peterson, an undefeated lightweight from Washington, DC., was injured while training last week in Washington, D.C. Peterson heard a clicking noise in his left knee area, did an eight-mile run and aggravated an area behind the kneecap. A MRI test was taken on Saturday. “Anthony is very, very upset as he really wanted to fight at Madison Square Garden,” said Barry Hunter, manager and chief trainer. “He is physically unable to compete at this time.” Peterson has a record of 28-0. He was scheduled to take on contender Edner Cherry, 24-6-2. Korobov, managed by Cameron Dunkin and trained by Dan Birmingham, is a tremendous puncher in the middleweight division. He is a Russian Olympian who strikes with power and is taking on Cory Jones of New York City in a four-round bout. Korobov has a record of 3-0 with three knockouts. He has been training in Florida and will be at the media workout with Cotto and Jennings on Tuesday.
