Two-time world champion Miguel Cotto and highly-rated contender Michael Jennings pose during a press conference Saturday’s WBO world championship fight at Madison Square Garden. Cotto and WBC middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik will headline Top Rank’s “Two Great Fights, One Great Night” pay-per-view where the two superstars will fight two world title fights in two different cities on the same live telecast. Pavlik will fight Marco Antonio Rubio at the Chevrolet Centre in Youngstown, Ohio.
Miguel Cotto: “We trained pretty good for the last two months and we’re ready for everything that Michael can bring. We’re going to do anything we have in our hands to come back to Puerto Rico with the title.”
Michael Jennings: “It is a dream come true to fight in New York at Madison Square Garden, the Mecca of Boxing, where all the legends have fought. I’ve trained 100% and will show everyone a great fight on Saturday night.”

    Help Support®

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
