Coyne returns January 29

Team Coyne

Undefeated WBC USNBC cruiserweight titleholder Ryan “The Irish Outlaw” Coyne (16-0 6 KOs) will next appear in the ring on the Devon Alexander-Tim Bradley undercard on January 29th. “I will fight anybody out there. This was a stay busy fight and I did what I had to do and I took care of business,” Coyne stated minutes after his second round KO over Shane Steele (7-3, 5KOs) on Saturday in his hometown of St. Louis , MO.

“I want to step up my level of competition on Devon’s (Alexander) undercard,” he added. “Let’s see who wants to step up and fight me on January 29th. Anybody who wants it, can get it.” Coyne is looking to face a top 20 challenger in his next fight. It is rumored that the Alexander-Bradley unification title bout will land in Miami, Florida.

    Help Support®

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
