Cruz back in action

Puertorican prospect and USNBC featherweight champion and WBO #13 Luis “El Artesano” Cruz (15-0, 12 KOs) is moving up to the junior lightweight division to fight the Colombian warrior Hevinson Herrera (14-5-1, 9 KOs) for the vacant WBO Latino junior lightweight title on Saturday, August 28 at the Rubén Viera Coliseum of his hometown in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico. “Fighting in front of my people in Las Piedras is an honor. I am training really hard to win this fight and the WBO Latino belt for the pride of my family and my people,” Luis Cruz said.

“This will be a great night for boxing in Puerto Rico. Luis Cruz is a young hungry fighter that trains really hard for all of his fights, If he wins on August 28 we will be looking for the world title next year,” promoter Miguel Cotto said.
