At the Mech Tech College Facilities in Caguas, Miguel Cotto Promotions in association with H2 Entertainment present their final press conference for next Saturday, February 27, “Boxeo Boricua In Caguas” show. The main event will be in the hands of Puerto Rican hot prospect Luis ‘El Artesano’ Cruz (12-0, 9 KOs) who will be making his second defense of the USNBC featherweight title against challenger Leon Bobo (18-4-1, 2 KOs), from St. Louis, Missouri in the main event of Boxeo Boricua.

“I haven’t seen him fight. The only thing I know is that he is left handed. But considering his record, I have a feeling that his style might be a little bit uncomfortable,” said Cruz, adding that he is in great shape and that has been sparring with guys with similar characteristics to the challenger.

The event promoter, boxing superstar Miguel Cotto, assured that the company has great plans for Cruz’s career. “In Boxeo Boricua, Cruz has gained the recognition of the Puerto Rican fans. Now, we’ll like to expose him to boxing fans overseas so they can become accustomed to him as a rising star in the sport.”

At Monday’s final press conference the Puerto Rico Boxing Commission held the last pre-weigh-in for the title fight requirement. Luis Cruz weighed-in at 129, three pounds less than maximum established by the commission.

Tickets are available at Ticketcenter (787)792-5000, Prices: $35.00, $25.00, $12.00.

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
