Acquinity Sports welcomed local media and fight fans to the spacious Paradise Live complex at the Seminole Hard Rock yesterday for the final press conference in advance of Friday’s “D Day II” Dominican Domination” card. Rising Dominican featherweight sensation Claudio “Matrix” Marrero (11-0, 9 KOs) squares off against Emmanuel “The Butcher” Lucero (26-9-1, 14 KOs) of Mexico in the ten-round main event.
Marrero’s unbeaten super-bantamweight compatriot Juan Carlos “Baby Pacquiao” Payano (9-0, 5 KOs) looks to maintain his perfect record against Mexican veteran Luis “Titi” Maldonado (36-8-1, 27 KOs) in their ten-round co-main event.
In other undercard action, light heavyweight Humberto Savigne (8-1, 6 KOs) tangles with former world champion Richard “The Destroyer” Hall (30-9, 28 KOs). Undefeated southpaw Dominican welterweight and 2008 Olympic gold medalist Felix Diaz (10-0, 6 KOs) takes on Puerto Rican Javier Perez (8-5, 5 KOs) in an eight-rounder.
Ticket prices are $34, $54, $74 and $104. VIP tables are still available for just $2,500. Doors open at 6:00, first fight at 6:30 PM.
