Welterweight Demetrius Hopkins (29-1-1, 11 KOs) dominated rugged former world title challenger Jesse Feliciano (15-9-3, 9 KOs) over ten one-sided rounds on Thursday night at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, California. Hopkins was extremely sharp, battering the iron-jawed Feliciano almost at will. Scores were 100-90, 100-90, 100-91. Feliciano was a late sub for Hopkins’ original opponent, former world champion Freddie Norwood.
In his pro debut, former amateur flyweight sensation Randy Caballero needed just 49 seconds to annihilate Gonzalo Nicholas. Impressive pro debut for Caballero, who just signed with TKO Boxing Promotions.
