”Alvarez fight will be my fourth bout this year. An optimal situation, staying in fighting shape, no need to build mental, physical fitness. It’s already there!” says Polish light heavyweight southpaw Norbert “Noras” Dąbrowski (19-5, 7 KOs), who on December 10 in Montreal will do his best to upset undefeated WBC #1 ranked Eleider Alvarez (20-0, 10 KOs). Alvarez- Dąbrowski will be the main event in the second installment of the GYM 2016-2017 boxing series at Montreal Casino Cabaret, by Mise-o-Jeu, in collaboration with Videotron.
“We can all agree that he’s bigger, potentially stronger than me but this is boxing, a skill game where I feel superior,” Dąbrowski told Polish website ringpolska.pl. “The ring will, of course, verify all the words, but I’m not flying to Canada just to be there. It’s not in my character. I want to win, no other option, even if this will be a life and death situation. We know what we have to do – I have to be faster than Alvarez, smarter, use his aggression to do what I do the best – counterpunch. There’s some specific moves I have ready when facing him. I’m not really interested, If Alvarez is talking me seriously or not – this is his problem. I will be 100% ready. That’s a promise!”
