Dante “Crazy” Jardón will fight again in Mexico City, this time to defend his WBC super featherweight Youth title against Adrian Tellez, also from Mexico, this July 29 in the Jose Cuervo Saloon. Jardon, with 17 wins and 15 KOs, is looking to step into the WBC absolute title, against an opponent of experience, who has 11 wins and 8 KOs, to make it clear that he is ready for global opportunities.
In his most recent fight, on June 4, Jardon, defeated the Argentinian Claudio “El Tigre” Tapia by technical knockout, defending his interim WBC Latino super featherweight title.
Tellez meanwhile has faced Martin Honorio, Pedro “Vaquero” Navarrete and Victor “El Vikingo” Terrazas, and in February 2009, gave one of the best fights I have ever seen in recent times in Mexico City, after defeating, by unanimous decision, Neri “Pantera” Saguilán.
The event will begin at 8 pm and will be broadcast by Telemundo. Entry tickets cost 100 pesos and 200 pesos and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.
