On July 13, 2009 the IBF ordered IBF jr. bantamweight champion Vic Darchinyan and mandatory challenger Simphiwe Nongqayi to begin negotiations. The IBF has since received a written certification from Branco Sports Productions who represents Simphiwe Nongqayi, stating that they were not willing to participate in negotiations and therefore requested an immediate purse bid according to IBF Rule 10A. Therefore, the IBF will call for purse bids at IBF Headquarters on Tuesday (7/28) at noon.
