Eight weeks today, British boxing fans will be filing into what will be a sold-out Manchester Arena, as rival heavyweights David Haye and Tyson Fury settle their differences in one of the biggest fights to have taken place in Britain in years. Haye says he will win and then get a rematch with a Klitschko, while unbeaten Fury believes he will “retire” Haye and get the Klitschko shot himself. According to bookmakers Ladbrokes, Haye, the former WBA heavyweight champ and cruiserweight champ, will get the job done.
Haye, 26-2(24) is currently a 2/7 betting favourite. Fury, 21-0(15) is currently listed at 11/4. A draw can be betted on at 33/1. As to how the winning man will prevail, Ladbrokes have Haye at 1/2 to win by KO, TKO or DQ. While Fury is listed at 4/1 to win by KO, TKO or DQ. Those few fans who think the fight will somehow go the distance can currently get a price of 11/4 for a decision.
