Australian based Nigerian, King Davidson (8-0, 5 KOs), will challenge Robert Toomey (7-6, 2 KOs) for the vacant Australian 154 pound title over ten rounds at the Sutherland Entertainment Center, Sydney, NSW, Australia on Friday. Davidson holds the IBF Pan Pacific Youth title and is trained by Australian Hall of Famer Johnny Lewis who also trained world champs such as Kostya Tszyu, Jeff Fenech, Jeff Harding and Gairy St Clair. Davidson is managed by former Australian flyweight champion Peter Mitrevski Sr. On the same show Australian middleweight champion Junior Talipeau (13-0, 5 KOs) will defend the title against Ben Crampton (22-2-2,10 KOs) over ten rounds. Former Australian champion Gary Comer will be in action against Kiwi David Wiremu. The promoter is former NSW middleweight champion Roy Alexander.
