De la Rosa-Sabillo WBO officials

WBO president Francisco “Paco” Valcarcel, announced today the referee and judges who will work this Saturday, March 9, in the interim minimumweight world title bout between Luis de la Rosa and Merlito Sabillo at the Mario de Leon Coliseum in Cerete, Colombia, in an All Star Boxing presentation. For the fight between De la Rosa (21-1-1, 12 KOs), from Colombia, and ranked first in the WBO’s 105 pounds division, and the Filipino Sabillo (20-0, 10 KOs), who is the #2 ranked, the referee will be Genaro “Gino” Rodriguez from Puerto Rico. Meanwhile, the judges for the De la Rosa-Sabillo bout are Ignacio Robles, from Panama, and Glenn Feldman and Michael Pernick, both from United States. The WBO supervisor for this fight will be Felix Diaz, from Colombia. The WBO minimumweight champion is Mexican Moises Fuentes, who challenged the WBO junior flyweight (108lbs) titlist Donnie Nietes last Saturday in Philippines, where the fight ended in a draw.
