Looks like former IBF/WBO light welterweight and undisputed welterweight champion Zab Judah (38-6, 26 KOs) will take on undefeated Kazakh prospect Vitaly Demyanenko (18-0, 11 KOs) next. The fight, which is being rumored for late May or early June, has been discussing all over Kazakh media for about a month. The exact venue is still unknown, though Moscow has been named as one of the possible sites. However, according to Demyanenko, team Judah insists on staging the bout in America. Negotiations are ongoing and the deal is close to be signed.
The WBO #7, WBC #9 and WBA #10 ranked Kazakh right-handed stylist, who is working out of unnatural southpaw stance, is coming off a shutout (120-108 twice and 120-109) twelve-round decision over Argentinean Jorge Daniel Miranda this February in Moscow. Demyanenko holds PABA, WBC ABC and WBO Asia Pacific belts at 147 lbs.
