Diablo Włodarczyk: “Chicago, I’m coming!”

By Przemek Garczarczyk

Six years ago, when they were both top world cruiserweights, Tomasz Adamek and Steve Cunningham fought an epic bout in the Prudential Center for the IBF title. Since then fans in the United States haven’t had a chance to see a major cruiserweight title fight live. This will all change on December 6 at UIC Pavilion in Chicago when former IBF champion and current WBC beltholder Krzysztof “Diablo” Włodarczyk (48-2, 28 KOs) will defend his title against Italian mandatory challenger Giacobbe Fragomeni (31-3, 12 KOs). The very hard hitting “Diablo” will arrive to the Windy City just in time for Thanksgiving, having already finished his training camp in Poland.

    Help Support®

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
