Things were definitely entertaining at today’s final press conference for Adrian Diaconu’s title defense against fellow Montrealer Jean Pascal. “This is my city,” said Pascal as he came from behind the table and worked the stage with a microphone like a seasoned night club crooner. Pascal offered up a birthday gift wrapped up in a gold box for Diaconu who recently turned thirty-one. “I don’t want your gift,” shot back ‘The Shark’ adding, “This is boxing, this is serious business, this isn’t ‘Star Academie’,” referring to the Quebec based American Idol type show. “I’m here to box, not to talk.”
