Diaz-Malignaggi card finalized

Former unified lightweight world champion Juan “Baby Bull” Diaz takes on former 140-pound world titleholder Paulie “Magic Man” Malignaggi on Saturday in the headliner at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The co-featured bout sees IBF junior lightweight world champion Malcolm Klassen challenged by heavy-handed Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero as he looks for a world title in a second weight class. Opening up the nationally televised portion of the card is unbeaten rising middleweight star Daniel “The Golden Child” Jacobs against ‘Contender’ alumnus Ishe Smith.

The off-TV bouts will feature unbeaten lightweight Hylon Williams (10-0, 3 KOs) against Baudel Cardenas (18-17-2, 6 KO’s)in an eight round lightweight bout, and unbeaten junior middleweight Jermell Charlo (8-0, 4 KOs) against Vardan Gasparyan (11-1-4, 5 KOs) in a six round bout.

Also in action are super middleweight Marcus Johnson (16-0, 13 KOs) against Matt Gockel (12-10, 7 KOs), heavyweight prospect Adam Richards (22-2, 15 KOs) against Harvey Jolly (9-10-1, 4 KOs), unbeaten junior welterweight Danny Garcia (13-0, 7 KOs) against former world title challenger Oscar Leon (28-9, 18 KOs), unbeaten junior lightweight Adrien Broner (10-0, 7 KOs) against Edgar Portillo (5-2, 3 KOs), lightweight knockout artist Omar Figueroa (6-0, 6 KOs) against Jeremy Marts (5-7, 3 KOs), plus two additional bouts.
