Dib vows to avenge loss to Gradovich and bring IBF featherweight title back to Australia

By Ray Wheatley — World of Boxing

Former IBF featherweight champion Billy Dib is confident he has the fight plan and preparation to regain the world IBF 126 pound title from American based Russian, Evgeny Gradovich, who captured the championship from Dib earlier this year. The Australian has done his homework in the gym and says he will bring the IBF championship back to Australia after the November 23 showdown with Gradovich.

“My mind has been in overdrive since I fought him back in March and I can’t wait to get out there and even up the ledger with this guy,” Dib said before flying out to China. “He got away with the last one, it was a close decision. Kudos to him, he worked extremely hard and won the fight fair and square, but I’m looking forward to getting out there and evening up the score with him. I’m going to fight and box a lot better this time around. I’ll make the right adjustments to make sure I secure the victory and bring the title back to Australia.”

Dib’s entourage includes Olympian John Steffensen, Emaid Dib who is the manager and his promoter rapper 50 Cent. “That’s the one thing that’s amazing about 50 Cent, he stayed loyal and stayed by me even in defeat,” Dib said. “We’re going to meet up in China and I can’t wait to link up and get down to business.”
