This Saturday (March 9th) German heavyweight contender and former European champion Alexander Dimitrenko takes on Croatia’s Ivica Perkovic in Hamburg, Germany. At the final press conference Dimitrenko’s new coach Tommy Brooks advised all fans: “Be there early – cause it won’t last long! I have a history of teaching guys how to knock out their opponents”, said Brooks who used to work with all-time greats such as Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson. “Believe me, this fight will not go the distance. We will make it short and sweet.”
After beating Perkovic, Dimitrenko is eyeing a rematch with Kubrat Pulev to whom he lost his European championship in May 2012. “Go and tell Pulev that we want him next”, adds Brooks. “And in six months we want Wladimir Klitschko!”
Dimitrenko vs. Perkovic is headlining a card of eight fights in total at 2,500 seat CU Arena in Hamburg. The co-feature will be a female world super middleweight championship featuring German championesse Nikki Adler. The show will be streamed live online on www.boxen-heute.tv.
