DKP wins Jones vs. Lebedev purse bid

Don King Productions will promote the fight between WBA cruiserweight champion Denis Lebedev and champion in recess Guillermo Jones. King himself attended the purse bid proceeding at WBA Headquarters in Panama and won the right to promote the fight with a bid of $712,000. John Wirt, representing Hrunov Promotions, bid $357,000. King said the potential sites are Panama, Miami and Nigeria, all in April. The auction was supervised by WBA VP Gilberto Jesus Mendoza jr. and Miguel Prado, WBA Ratings Committee Chairman.
