DKP/Mayorga Update

After hearing eight hours of testimony over two days in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Broward County Circuit Court Judge Marc H. Gold today granted Don King Productions’ request for an injunction preventing Ricardo Mayorga from appearing tonight on an MMA card tonight in Fayetteville, NC. Mayorga is in Fayetteville and the MMA promoter has issued a press release stating the bout will go on as scheduled despite “Don King and a bunch of legal mumbo jumbo.” However, Gold warned from the bench, “If my orders are disobeyed, there will be serious sanctions from this court.” The judge is requiring DKP to post a $1,000,000 bond today for the order to stick.
